Page Encodings Buttons do not work as intended, i.e. the encoding is not switched. The first encoding is always being set up.

You need to turn on toolbar text to see it (right-click toolbar and "customize toolbars", but it does appear in V7.5...

Are all buttons here compatible with Opera 7.5? If not, I think we need to write the "Opera generation" in which the button works. Soon we have "7.5 only" buttons.

Hi CrazyTerabyte!

I think trying to maintain compatibility with multiple vversions of Opera will be quite a pain. My idea was when V7.5 comes out, make the wiki 7.5 compatible. and maybe have 'old' pages for pre7.5 bits. I don't have much time to maintain categorisations for multiple versions. I think the wiki should always be compatible with the latest 'release'. What does anyone else think?

I need to make sure that my buttons will work. I found a bug in my "Opera button editor" when used with this wiki. The wiki will "unescape" the page (convert %22 to "), then, some button addresses that ended with %22" will became "".

I will upload another version of my editor soon, and will try to test/fix the buttons I have added.

A great resource, thanks for maintaining it. One question though, I don't seem to be able to get the quirks mode button to say anything other than 'Quirksmode', .e.g. www.w3.org = 'Quirksmode!'. v7.50 (3778) Win2k?

The 'quirksmode' button does work, it's just that I have links set to open in a new tab. With that setting the 'quirksmode' button needs to be dragged & dropped onto the document to be analyised.

Every time I try to add Open in FF and Open in IE buttons to my toolbar, I keep getting the message "illegal button". I am using 7.54 u2

Jewel, do you click or drag the button and to which toolbar (it cannot be the personal bar). I tested in both V7.54u2 and V8.0b1 and they both work for me. Do you use ad-blocking software, try disabling that and reload the page. Otherwise can you post the full error message...

Thank you very much for the BugMeNot? button! I had heard there was a site like that and now I have a convienant way to use it.

I have a request if anyone would be willing to implement it: a button to save all content that is linked to from the current page (this would do the same as the user clicking "save target as.." for every link). Basically, when I'm on a site that is just a list of downloadable files or a bunch of thumbnail links to full pictures, I wan to be able to save all of them as quick and easy as possible.

I know that this may not be possible to do with what tools third parties get access to; it might be something I have to ask Opera ASA to do. However, if there is one important thing I have learned in life it is that you should never limit imagination with reality. I have shared the idea and someone can always find the way.

This has been discussed in opera.wishlist

The little arrow has been removed in Opera 8, but the second action still works if you keep the button pressed for one or two seconds. I really hope that arrow is back...

For example: A web page that has 2 links. "the button would say that there are 2 links on the web page."

In Opera 9.0 the "Show Javascript console" command has been replaced by "Show Message console". It took me a while to figure it out, so I just thought I'd mention it.

first of all thanks for the good work!

I've had good times with operawiki.info!

I'd like to point your attention to the "Save document (save with images ...)" button. It does not work anymore in Opera 9. I wanted to fix it by myself but I don't know the "action code" for it...

The broken button opens only a limited "save as"-dialog where the "save as one file" option is missing. I see only "html" and "txt" as options.

I'd really like to have a one-click-save-as-mht-button :-) Please... :-) Please :-)

Hi, in the WebDev? section, the button "View in IE (on same tab)" displays an error. The "View in IE" however works fine.

Also, is it possible to have a small banner strip (or something) just to alert that the neptune plug-in is loaded for the tab?

i need a button "save email as draft" with a pull down menu to save drafts seperately. Is there a email to compose and i want to save many drafts of it, the opera email client saves this email draft as all the same copy.

oh my computer forgive me for i have converted my religon from firefox (fireshit) to opera...
opera is very nice sexperience and its very very sexelant as comparred to the bullshit firefox. i lvoe opera .. i love its flexibility and dozen squared much need functions that are built into it right from start.

autodetect icon on "Toggle between" encoding menu doesn't show up in 10.5 RC3. I think it was removed some builds before. How can i replace it with another that exists in opera's skin? I tried replacing the name of the current button but i can't make it appear.

Yes, and the "Reopen closed page (with closed window list and blocked pop-ups menu and with "trash" icon)" button change the icon whit mouseover.
